Germany has revealed its latest military support package for Ukraine, updating the list of provided military assistance on the federal government's website on Monday, 17 February 2025.
The Free Democratic Party (FDP) plans to introduce the proposal following their exit from Chancellor Olaf Scholz's governing coalition, Christian Dürr, the FDP parliamentary group leader, told DPA.
They discussed "how to bring a just peace closer" and "maintain unity," as well as preparations for the second Peace Summit, without making any further details public.
Scholz added that a significant portion of funding for Ukraine's weapons procurement will come through a €50 billion loan as part of the G7 initiative, to be repaid using interest from frozen Russian assets.
Ukraine’s Ministry of Strategic Industries and a German defense company, Helsing GmbH, signed a memorandum of understanding on security and defense cooperation on 24 February.
