Reuters: Poland’s Tusk says he will call on West to continue help Ukraine

On 12 December, Poland's newly appointed prime minister, Donald Tusk, said his country would demand the full mobilization of the West to help Ukraine, as per Reuters.

The appointment of Tusk, the former European Council president, marks the end of nationalist rule and supposedly puts the country on track for a thawing of relations with the bloc.

"We will ... loudly and decisively demand the full mobilization of the free world, the Western world, to help Ukraine in this war," Tusk said in parliament.

Tusk also vowed to quickly solve issues related to a truckers' protest on several border crossings with Ukraine.

The prime minister said he would soon head off for working trips to meet the prime ministers of Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia and discuss issues related to the war and safe borders.
