Commander of Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces Robert “Madyar” Brovdi said Ukrainian forces struck a Russian FSB facility in occupied Donetsk, destroying a command post and killing 12 personnel.
The operation forms part of Ukraine’s broader deep-strike campaign aimed at degrading Russian command and control structures in occupied territories and reducing their ability to coordinate operations behind the front line.
Eight FP-2 drones hit FSB Mobile Operations Directorate base
In a statement, Brovdi said Ukrainian drone units targeted what he described as a base of the FSB’s Mobile Operations Directorate, a unit he linked to Russia’s counterintelligence service structure.
The FSB is Russia’s Federal Security Service, the main domestic security and counterintelligence agency in the country.
He said the strike was carried out on the morning of April 22 using eight precision FP-2 drone strikes with warheads of 60-100kg.
Russian losses reportedly amounted to 27 personnel from special forces units, including 12 killed and 15 wounded.
Exilenova+ earlier reported on 22 April that an unidentified UAV struck an apartment in an unfinished residential complex in Donetsk.
A "dirty war" unit running sabotage, detentions, and elimination
He described the target as an operational special forces formation within the FSB’s counterintelligence system, functioning as a unit responsible for “dirty war” operations in occupied territories and on Ukrainian territory.
According to his description, the unit conducts counterintelligence work, sabotage operations, military special missions, creation of agent networks, identification and detention of individuals deemed disloyal, physical elimination of opponents, and coordination of pro-Russian armed groups.
He also said it is involved in recruitment activity and covert operations including sabotage, arson, and attacks against Ukrainian territory.

Planned by Ukraine's Deep Strike Center with Azov
The operation, Brovdi said, was planned jointly by specialists from the Center for Deep Strike operations of Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces and the 1st Corps of the National Guard unit Azov.
The attack comes as Ukraine expands its use of long-range drone and precision strike capabilities against Russian security and military infrastructure in occupied regions, focusing on disrupting coordination nodes rather than only frontline positions.
