Arson did not disrupt Ukraine deliveries, Estonian military robot maker says. Three suspects were detained in Latvia. The company Milrem said more than 200 of its robotic systems would be operating in Ukraine by year-end.

Bradley IFVs won battles in Ukraine. The parts to keep them running went out of production. US Army seeks contractor to restart production of discontinued Bradley parts and train Ukrainian crews to maintain the fleet.

International

Ukraine's refinery strikes push Russia's fuel crisis into Central Asia. Gasoline prices rose 10–13% in the most exposed markets, a Kazakh economist estimated, as governments sought other suppliers.

Russia faked broadcasts from Sweden's national TV to smear its PM—the same network already hit Germany and France this month. Germany's domestic intelligence agency, France's anti-disinformation body, and Swedish journalists all flagged the campaign in August.

Belgium lines up a "drone deal" to tap Ukraine's war-tested know-how. Brussels has pledged 30 F-16s and over €1 billion in aid a year. A joint drone pact is next, with both sides eyeing a signing date.

Humanitarian and social impact

Russian Shaheds hit near Moldova-border crossing, burn food cargo, and black out 13,000 in Odesa Oblast. The Odesa strikes were part of a combined Russian attack across Ukraine. A suspected Shahed also crossed into Moldova, and a drone crashed in Romania.

14 killed as Russia unleashes massive overnight barrage on unprotected Kyiv, striking homes, hospital, school and railway infrastructure. Russia attacked Kyiv with ballistic and cruise missiles, including Zircon, Iskander-M and S-400 missiles, as well as 168 Shahed-type and other drones in a massive overnight barrage.

Russia hit Kyiv with ballistic and hypersonic missiles overnight, damaging a children's hospital, with people trapped in a shelter. Russia launched a massed overnight attack on Kyiv with ballistic and Zircon hypersonic missiles on 20 August.
