Overnight, Russian forces launched a large-scale air assault on multiple oblasts across Ukraine, with over 100 air targets detected, including up to 98 drones and six Kh-59/69 guided missiles.
Russia continues targeting civilian infrastructure in Ukraine, especially energy facilities, disrupting power, destroying buildings, and causing civilian casualties. While Ukrainian air defenses manage to intercept a significant portion of incoming threats, the attacks continue to pose serious risks to both military and civilian targets across the country.
The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine claims to have successfully intercepted 42 Russian drones and four Kh-59/69 guided missiles.
The drones were reportedly shot down across nine different oblasts, including Odesa, Sumy, Cherkasy, Kyiv, Kirovohrad, Chernihiv, Poltava, Mykolaiv, and Kherson.
Ukrainian defense forces utilized aviation, anti-aircraft systems, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups.
The Air Force reports that 46 Russian drones are currently lost locationally, and information on them is being clarified.
Despite the defensive efforts, some attacks breached Ukrainian defenses, resulting in casualties and infrastructure damage.
