Ukrainian soldiers from the 3rd Separate Assault Brigade repelled a Russian assault on a front in the east of Ukraine, reports the brigade’s press service.
The Russian assault on this front section involved a tank and a wheeled armored personnel carrier transporting infantry. According to the Ukrainian defenders, the Russian column of armored vehicles moving toward their positions was promptly detected by the unmanned aerial vehicle pilots of the 3rd Assault Brigade.
Once its movement was detected, the brigade’s units immediately began its destruction. Ukrainian troops used strike FPV drones to eliminate the Russian occupiers, according to Militarnyi.
“A quick strike from above hit the tank. The armored personnel carrier, which began to reverse, was chased down. Even before the final strikes, the Russian infantry started retreating,” the 3rd Assault Brigade explained.
In a short time, Ukrainian drone operators destroyed the Russian armored vehicles. The “War in Ukraine. Equipment Losses” Telegram channel has identified that the Russian equipment was destroyed near the village of Karmazynivka in Luhansk Oblast.
The brigade noted that the Russian assault was repelled by the battalion of unmanned systems, FATUM anti-tank fighters, the Revenge group from the 1st Mechanized Battalion, and soldiers from the 1st Assault Battalion.
