Russia shifts troops across sectors amid uncertainty over Ukraine’s upcoming attacks – military

The Russian troops are forced to constantly redeploy their units across the southern front in anticipation of the next Ukrainian attack, and the Ukrainian forces are taking advantage of that.

This was stated by Major Valerii Shershen, spokesperson of the Joint Press Center of the Ukrainian Defense Forces of the Tauria sector, during an online briefing at the Military Media Center.

“The enemy does not know and does not realize where a major breakthrough can occur, so it redeploys its units from time to time, reinforcing certain areas. This creates a certain amount of chaos, which we are taking advantage of,” noted the spokesman.

At the same time, Ukraine continues a campaign to disrupt Russian military logistics.

“Every day, the Ukrainian Armed Forces find and destroy the occupiers’ warehouses and logistics hubs. Over the past day alone, six ammunition depots were destroyed in the Tavria sector alone,” Deputy Defense  Minister Hanna Maliar wrote.

In its morning bulletin, the Ukrainian Army’s General Staff stated that the Ukrainian Forces continue to conduct offensive operations on Melitopol and Berdiansk axes in Ukraine’s south, consolidating their positions, and knocking out the identified Russian targets with artillery. Also, Ukrainians continue offensive operations north and south of Donetsk’s Bakhmut, while Russians attempt assaults in various sectors of the front, according to the Staff.
