After delivering the largest-yet missile strike against Ukraine on 10 October, Russia continued attacking various Ukrainian regions the next day. A five-hour air alarm sounded throughout the country, as Ukraine’s Air Force command reported shooting down a total of 20 missiles launched from Tu-95 and Tu-160 bombers above the Caspian Sea and 13 Iranian Shahed-106 drones.

Explosions sounded in the west-Ukrainian city of Lviv and in Vinnytsia. In Lviv, mayor Sadovyi reported that missiles struck an infrastructure object, while Lviv Oblast Head Maksym Kozytskyi informed that three explosions happened at two energy facilities in the Lviv Oblast. Vinnytsia Oblast Head Serhiy Borzov reported that two energy facilities were hit in Ladyzhyn and in Vinnytsia district, and three people were wounded.

Among the objects that were hit was the Ladyzhyn thermal power plant in Vinnytsia Oblast. At least six people were injured as a result of the attack.

As well, missiles hit power infrastructure in the Pavlohrad and Kamiansk districts of Dnipro Oblast, Dnipro Oblast Head Valentyn Reznichenko informed. He said that the ruination is serious, many settlements are left without power, and stated that the Oblast is entering a state of “total power saving” so that hospitals, transport, and social infrastructure could continue working.

Russia’s Ministry of Defense, which is known for spreading falsehoods, was quoted by the state-controlled RIA Novosti as saying that the Russian missiles destroyed “two fuel depots for Ukrainian military equipment in Dnipropetrovsk and Palohrad in Dnipro Oblast” and 5 ammunition depots, including one near Mykolaiv. No independent confirmation of this claim has been reported.
