Ukraine’s capital Kyiv and other Ukrainian cities were under an unprecedented missile attack. For the first time since the start of Russia’s full-blown aggression, downtown Kyiv was hit by Russian missiles. As of 9:00 on 11 October, 19 people were reported to be killed and 105 were wounded. The mass strikes on Ukrainian cities happen two days after Russia appointed general Surovikin, the former head of Aerospace forces, to head Russia’s occupation troops. This was the first time that this position was officially named.
