Ukraine’s military intelligence chief Kyrylo Budanov met with Swedish journalist and volunteer Jonas Ohman, who delivered aid for Ukrainian intelligence operatives.
The Lithuanian-based non-government organization “Blue/Yellow,” founded by Jonas Ohman, has raised over 50 million euros since Russia’s full-scale invasion.
Ukraine’s military intelligence purchased for Ukrainian military 550 vehicles, over 2,200 drones of various types, communication means, thermal imaging optics, protective equipment, medical supplies, powerful computers and tablets, satellite internet systems, and generators for this money.
In February 2023, Jonas and his organization’s team raised 14 million euros ($15 mn) to purchase 16 multi-functional tactical radars for Ukraine’s Armed Forces.
During the Vilnius NATO summit, Jonas Ohman’s NGO ‘Blue/Yellow,’ together with the NGO ‘Stiprūs kartu/Stronger Together,’ raised 33,000 Ukrainian flags in Lithuania “to call on allied states to consolidate support for Ukraine’s membership in the Alliance.”
Sweden has been supporting Ukraine since Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Recently Sweden announced an allocation of approximately 755 million CZK ($32 million) to a Czech-led initiative to order 800,000 155m artillery shells for Ukraine.
