Drones struck an oil depot in Krymsk, Krasnodar Krai, overnight into 11 April, the Krasnodar Krai Operational Headquarters reports. Air raid alerts sounded in the region from midnight. According to the headquarters, debris from an unmanned aerial vehicle caused a fire on the grounds of the oil depot. Some 80 personnel and 29 units of equipment were deployed to extinguish it; by morning the fire had been contained. No casualties were reported.
Krasnodar Krai is a region in southwestern Russia, bordering the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov to the west, Georgia to the south. It sits at the northern edge of the Caucasus, directly across the Kerch Strait from Russian-occupied Crimea. The region is a critical transit hub for Russian forces in southern Ukraine — fuel, ammunition, and troops move through it toward the front lines and occupied Crimea.
In Novorossiysk, drone fragments damaged two apartment buildings and one private residence, according to the same source. Windows were blown out in three flats in the apartment blocks, and glazing was damaged at the private house. Debris also fell on a warehouse at one of the city's enterprises, sparking a fire that was quickly extinguished. No injuries were reported there either.
Novorossiysk is a major port city on the northeastern Black Sea coast, in Krasnodar Krai. It sits at the foot of the Caucasus mountains, roughly 80 km southeast of Krymsk and about 1,500 km south of Moscow. It is Russia's largest commercial port and has become the main operating base for the Black Sea Fleet since Sevastopol came under threat.
Local Telegram channels reported explosions in the city of Tver, though local authorities had not commented on the reports as of the time of writing.
Russia's Ministry of Defence stated it had intercepted or destroyed 99 Ukrainian drones overnight over Krasnodar Krai, Belgorod, Bryansk, and Kursk oblasts, Russian-occupied Crimea, and the waters of the Azov and Black Seas.
