Ukraine’s Defense Procurement Agency signed a Memorandum with the Danish Acquisition and Logistics Organisation (DALO)

The Defense Procurement Agency and the Danish Acquisition and Logistics Organisation (DALO) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation in Defense Procurement. This deepens the partnership between Ukraine’s and Denmark’s ministries of defense.

Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Dmytro Klimenkov, director of the Defense Procurement Agency Maryna Bezrukova, and commander of DALO Lieutenant General Kim Jorgensen took part in the event.

“We are sincerely grateful to our partners from Denmark for their constant support of Ukraine. This event is another important step in deepening our cooperation in the supply of modern weapons and military equipment to the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” stressed Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Dmytro Klimenkov.

Within the framework of the memorandum, the Defense Procurement Agency and the Acquisition and Logistics Organisation of the Ministry of Defense of Denmark agreed on the exchange of experience and cooperation in the field of arms procurement on foreign markets.

“Procurement of modern weapons in cooperation with our international partners is one of the key focuses of the Defense Procurement Agency. And we are convinced that the strengthening of cooperation with the Acquisition and Logistics Organisation of the Ministry of Defense of Denmark will contribute to the conclusion of new contracts and the modernization of our Armed Forces,” said Director of the Defense Procurement Agency Maryna Bezrukova.

Ukraine’s Defense Procurement Agency was established in 2022 to create an integrated procurement system in the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. The Agency is gradually taking over all defense procurement as part of the reform of Ukraine’s military procurement and the Ministry of Defense. At the same time, the newly created State Operator of the Rear is responsible for procuring non-lethal products, mainly food and fuel.
