On 23 December, Russian troops attacked a thermal power plant in Ukraine’s frontline region, Ukraine’s largest private energy company, DTEK, reported.
DTEK did not specify which region the thermal power plant is located in.
The shelling injured five energy workers and damaged the plant’s equipment.
“Currently, the shelling continues. As soon as it stops, power engineers will begin to eliminate the consequences of the attack,” DTEK said.
The company specified that this is the tenth Russian attack on frontline thermal power plants in the past two months. Earlier, DTEK reported a shelling incident that occurred on 20 December.
