Dutch aid for Ukraine reaches €2.6 billion

Dutch aid for Ukraine reaches €2.6 billion

The Netherlands has contributed €550 million in military aid to Ukraine over the past two months, bringing their total support to €2.6 billion. This update comes from a statement by the Dutch government, as reported by Ukrinform.

Since October 3, Ukraine has received military assistance worth almost €550 million,” the statement reads.

The government stressed the importance of the continued aid for Ukraine by allies, to support the country in its fight against Russian aggression:

“The Netherlands should also continue to contribute to this, we cannot leave Ukraine alone. With our support, we ensure that Ukraine can continue the fight. It must not lose this battle. This is also about our freedom and security,” emphasized Dutch Minister of Defense Kajsa Ollongren.

In the last two months, the Netherlands has delivered a range of critical supplies to Ukraine, including combat vehicles, air defense systems, weaponry, ammunition, and drones. Additionally, Ukraine has received demining gear, field hospitals, tents, various equipment, medical supplies, and spare parts for vehicles and equipment.

The Netherlands has also reserved €2 billion of assistance to Ukraine for 2024.
