The head of the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast Administration Ihor Kolomoyskyy advised people not to go looking for traitors among representatives of the central government. He made his comments to journalists on leaving the meeting of the Presidential Administration on Wednesday, April 30, as reported by Ukrainska Pravda.

When asked why, in his view, the central government is unable to achieve the same security measures in the country as he has in the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, Kolomoyskyy urged support.

“Everyone is trying to do something, but you must understand that we are experiencing this for the first time,” he said. “What is easily solved in the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, for example, is much more complicated for the entire country. This is especially true since politics enters the picture at times. This is why I would place more faith in people and allow them to work. Believe me, there are no traitors, and no one who has sold Ukraine,” he stressed.

When asked why he did not want to run for president, he answered that he never had such plans.

According to Kolomoyskyy, authorities in the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast do not expect provocations during the May holidays but are preparing for them. “We do not expect any provocations tomorrow, May 1, but if we have war tomorrow, then we are ready,” he said.

Kolomoyskyy did not say how many Russian saboteurs have been detained in his oblast.
(Ed. Note: Kolomoyskyy previously had announced a system of bounties for the capture and detention of saboteurs in his oblast.)
