Quisling governor claims Ukraine preparing offensive on Kherson

Quisling governor claims Ukraine preparing offensive on Kherson

Kyrylo Stremousov, the Russian-appointed “governor” of occupied Kherson Oblast leader, claimed that Ukrainian troops are preparing an offensive on the city, Stremousov wrote on Telegram.

According to Stremousov, the Ukrainian military will launch an offensive on Kherson in the near future and he claimed that the city might be shelled, as well as the right-bank part of the Kherson Oblast.

Stremousov urged local residents to leave Kherson Oblast and promised that Russia would compensate for the possible loss of housing due to ostensibly upcoming shelling attacks.

The Kherson Oblast Council commented on the so-called evacuation announced by the Russian occupation authorities of the Oblast.

“Khersoners! Regarding what you hear from the occupation authorities in Kherson Oblast. This is not an evacuation… THIS IS COVERT DEPORTATION”, Kherson Oblast Administration reported on its Facebook page.

According to the General Staff, the Russians began the process of evacuating so-called “state” institutions from the occupied part of the Kherson Oblast to the occupied Crimea.
