Ukraine’s military says it carried out a series of coordinated strikes overnight, hitting a Russian oil refinery in Perm Krai along with air defense systems, ammunition depots, and drone command points.

The strikes come as Ukraine continues to expand its long-range campaign targeting Russia’s oil infrastructure and military logistics deep into Russian and Russian-occupied territory.

According to the General Staff of Ukraine’s Armed Forces, Ukrainian forces damaged a primary oil processing unit at the Perm refinery, triggering a fire at the facility.

The extent of the damage is still being clarified, but the strike targeted a key component of the plant’s refining capacity.

Air defense and logistics targets hit

Ukrainian forces also struck a Buk-M3 near occupied Olkhovatka in Donetsk Oblast, according to the General Staff.

Additional strikes targeted ammunition depots near Rozdolne in Donetsk Oblast and Rovenky in Luhansk Oblast, as well as a logistics warehouse near occupied Melitopol in Zaporizhzhia Oblast.

Ukraine also reported hitting a drone storage site in Russia’s Belgorod Oblast and multiple drone command points across frontline areas, including near Huliaipole, as well as in parts of Donetsk and Kherson oblasts.

The General Staff also confirmed an earlier-reported strike on the Tuapse oil refinery in Krasnodar Krai, where explosions and a fire were reported.

Additional strikes reported by Ukrainian drone units

Further strikes on Russian military assets were reported by Ukrainian drone commander Robert Brovdi, known by the callsign “Madyar.”

He said Ukrainian units targeted a Nebo-M radar system near the border area of Russia’s Belgorod and Kursk regions, as well as another Buk-M3 air defense system in occupied Donetsk Oblast.

Additional strikes hit a concentration of more than 30 pieces of military equipment near occupied Bakhmut, and drone unit deployment points in occupied parts of Zaporizhzhia and Kherson oblasts.

Brovdi added that Ukrainian forces also struck drone command positions and personnel concentrations, describing the operations as part of a sustained effort to extend strikes deeper into Russian-controlled rear areas and disrupt command, logistics, and air defense systems.

Part of broader pressure on Russia’s war economy

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said earlier that such operations have already caused at least $7 billion in losses to Russia’s oil sector this year.

Ukrainian officials argue that repeated attacks on refineries and export-linked infrastructure are reducing output, disrupting shipments, and cutting into a key source of revenue for Moscow’s war.

The latest wave of strikes reflects a continued focus on both economic and operational targets – combining pressure on Russia’s oil sector with efforts to degrade air defenses, logistics, and drone operations across the battlefield.
