Russia launched a major overnight attack between the evening of 6 December and the morning of 7 December, firing five ballistic missiles and 241 drones, Ukrainian Air Force officials said.
Russia continues to hit Ukraine with daily drone and missile strikes, aiming at energy systems, homes, and other civilian areas. These attacks kill civilians, damage critical networks, and force emergency crews to work through constant disruption.
According to the Air Force, 175 drones and four missiles were intercepted, while 65 drones struck targets in 14 locations.
The strikes hit energy facilities, residential areas, and city centers across multiple regions. Emergency teams worked through the morning to contain fires and restore disrupted services.
Energy sites hit in Poltava Oblast
In Poltava Oblast, several energy sites in the Kremenchuk region were hit by missiles and drones. Fires broke out and technical equipment was damaged. Parts of the community are experiencing power, heating, and water outages. No casualties were reported.




One killed in Chernihiv Oblast
In Chernihiv Oblast, a 50-year-old man was killed in Novhorod-Siverskyi. State Emergency Services (DSNS) said drone strikes set fire to an abandoned building, a residential house, and an outbuilding.


Mother killed, boy injured in Sloviansk strike
In Donetsk Oblast, Russian forces hit Sloviansk late on 6 December, injuring eight people, including a pregnant woman and a 15-year-old boy. The boy’s mother was killed. Multi-story buildings, private homes, and vehicles were damaged across the city.


Two wounded in Kherson city center
In Kherson, a drone strike on the morning of 7 December wounded two people in the city center.
Russia deploys Kinzhals in overnight barrage
According to the Air Force, the Russian strike involved Shahed-type drones, other UAVs, three Kh-47M2 Kinzhal aero-ballistic missiles, and two Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles.
