The situation on the Kharkiv front remains challenging, but the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue holding ground against Russian invaders, according to the "Kharkiv" operational-tactical group.

On 10 May, Russia launched its offensive in Kharkiv Oblast, but the assault stalled in the following months. In August, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Ukrainian forces were gradually pushing Russian troops out of the region.

“The operational situation on the Kharkiv front has not seen significant changes and remains difficult. Ukraine’s Defense Forces continue to hold back the pressure of Russian occupation troops. Two combat engagements took place near the village of Tykhe over the past day,” said the Ukrainian military.

Ukrainian forces responded to enemy actions by destroying Russian weapons and equipment and neutralizing 95 occupiers, claimed the "Kharkiv" operational-tactical group.

Additionally, over the last 24 hours, Ukrainian troops damaged 18 units of Russian military equipment, 50 shelters for personnel, and one ammunition depot.

The "Kharkiv" group emphasized that the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to control the situation and are fulfilling their tasks of repelling and restraining Russia’s armed aggression in Kharkiv Oblast.
