Russian forces shell Kherson two days in a row, injuring civilians

Russia’s May 16 attack on Kherson city injured two people, while 21 more civilians got injuries in yesterday’s Russian attack on the city.

Russian forces shell Kherson two days in a row, injuring civilians

​​On 16 May, Russian troops shelled Kherson, southern Ukraine, resulting in injuries to two civilians, according to the Kherson Oblast State Administration.

Since the liberation of Kherson from Russian occupation in the fall of 2022, Kherson residents have suffered from regular Russian attacks that they carry out from the still-occupied eastern bank of the river in Kherson Oblast.

Today’s Russian attack targeted the Korabelnyi district of Kherson. A 54-year-old woman suffered a concussion, blast injury, and traumatic brain injury due to the attack. In a separate incident, a 52-year-old man sustained a blast injury during this Russian strike, the Kherson Oblast State Administration reports

On 15 May, Russian forces attacked a central district of Kherson, injuring at least 21 people, including a teenage boy and a 98-year-old lady.
