A person was killed in the Krasnopil hromada in the Sumy Oblast in the northeast of Ukraine as a result of Russian shelling, as reported by the Sumy Oblast Military Administration. In total, Russian troops have fired 19 times on the region on Sunday 14 April 2024.
''During the day, the Russians fired 19 times at the border areas and settlements of Sumy Oblast. 76 explosions were recorded. The Khotyn, Yunakiv, Bilopil, Krasnopil, Velykopysariv, Esman, and Seredyna-Bud hromadas were shelled,'' as noted by the military administration.
Within the Krasnopil hromada, 17 explosions were the result of artillery shelling, 7 explosions due to mortar shelling, and the use of FPV kamikaze drone strikes led to 2 explosions.
In Ukraine, a hromada is an administrative unit designating a town, village or several villages and their adjacent territories.
Russians targeted a truck in Sumy Oblast, driver killed
Earlier on 14 April in the morning, a Russian drone dropped explosives
on a truck in the Sumy Oblast, killing the driver. The regional prosecutor’s office announced the launch of a pre-trial investigation into the violation of the laws of war.
The truck was driving in the area of the Krasnopil hromada in the Sumy Oblast. Russian forces dropped explosives from a drone on the truck and the driver died on the spot from his injuries.
