Russian armed forces have attacked multiple Ukrainian locations in the Kharkiv, Donetsk and Sumy Oblasts within the last 24 hours. Multiple people have been wounded and there are fatal casualties as a result of the attacks, which were done through the use of various types of drones.
Russians targeted a truck in Sumy Oblast, driver killed
In the Sumy Oblast in the northeast of Ukraine on the morning of April 14, a Russian drone dropped explosives on a truck, killing the driver. The regional prosecutor’s office announced the launch of a pre-trial investigation into the violation of the laws of war.
According to the investigation, the attack occurred around eight o’clock.
The truck was driving in the area of the Krasnopil community in the Sumy Oblast. Russian forces dropped explosives from a drone on the truck and the driver died on the spot from his injuries.
This is the second such incident over the weekend. On Saturday, April 13, Russian armed forces deliberately shot at a civilian car in the border area of Novhorod-Siverskyi district, in the north of Ukraine. A man who was carrying food to the population was killed.
Russian armed forces dropped a bomb on a five-story building in Donetsk Oblast – one dead and one wounded
Russian troops attacked the village of Ocheretyne in the Donetsk Oblast, killing one person and wounding two others. This was reported by the head of the regional administration Vadym Filashkin.
In the afternoon, the occupants attacked the village with an air strike – they hit a five-story building, and the body of a 67-year-old woman was pulled out from under its rubble, the official wrote.
Two of the wounded were hospitalized and are receiving the necessary medical care, said Filashkin. He urged local residents not to risk their lives and evacuate.
Russia fires “Shaheds” at Kharkiv
On the night of April 14, Russian occupation forces attacked the city of Kharkiv in the east of the Ukraine with Shahed kamikaze drones, the Ukrainian military shot down 10 drones, however, some drones managed to penetrate through the defense towards the city.
This was reported by the commander of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Mykola Oleshchuk and the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration Oleh Syniehubov.
According to him, the drones flew towards Kharkiv region, the occupiers launched them from Belgorod. At midnight, Mayor Ihor Terekhov reported that the city was under attack by the “Shahed”.
All 10 enemy drones were shot down by the Defense Forces in the skies over Kharkiv region.
At the same time, Syniehubov said that Russia had carried out at least two drone strikes on Kharkiv. The target, he said, was critical infrastructure. In addition, the invaders attacked with four S-300/S-400 anti-aircraft guided missiles from the occupied Donetsk region.
A village near the city of Kharkiv is hit with guided aerial bombs
On the evening of April 13, the Russian forces conducted an air strike on the village of Vesele in the Lipetsk community of Kharkiv Oblast, killing two people. This was reported by the head of the local regional military administration Syniehubov.
According to him, the attack took place around 21:00. The attack completely destroyed a private house, and the bodies of a 61-year-old woman and a 68-year-old man were pulled out of the rubble.
Syniehubov added that the enemy struck with guided aerial bombs.
