The Russian troops hit a 5-story residential building in Sumy with a Shahed drone on the night of 13 March, injuring eight people, the Sumy Military Administration reported.

The administration reported about ten people were rescued from the rubble, eight of whom sustained injuries of varying severity. There are some dead people, and information is being clarified, according to officials.

There may be three people among the missing in Sumy, according to the Minister of Internal Affairs, Ihor Klymenko.

“Emergency rescue operations are ongoing. All necessary services are working on-site, and a resilience point has been set up,” the regional military administration said.

The attack damaged up to 50 apartments, and about 20 were destroyed and could not be restored.

“Three floors have completely collapsed, and I believe that the adjacent entrances will unfortunately have to be demolished,” said Artem Kobzar, the acting Mayor of Sumy.

Ukraine’s air defenses shot down two Russian drones over the oblast overnight.

Russian troops also attacked Myrhorod, Donetsk Oblast, overnight into 13 March, killing two people and injuring five others, according to Governor Vadym Filashkiv.

Rescuers pulled a 13-year-old girl out of the rubble. She was not reportedly physically injured.

The Russian military launched a Grom-E1 missile on the city overnight on 12 March, hitting a 5-story building. Over the past day, Russian attacks injured six more people in the oblast, according to Filashkin.
