Russian troops launched an attack on Kharkiv today, with two strikes reported in the city center. As of now, three injuries have been confirmed. Recently, Russian strikes on Kharkiv have been occurring approximately every other day as residents worry about potential Russian attack on Kharkiv.
According to Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov and the head of the Kharkiv Oblast Military Administration, Oleg Syniehubov, the strikes targeted the central part of the city, with preliminary reports suggesting the use of guided aerial bombs (KABs).
Details are still emerging about the extent of the injuries and damages. Syniehubov later reported that two individuals were wounded as a result of the Russian strike. Emergency services are currently working at the sites of the impacts.

Syniehubov added, “The search for the wounded at the impact site continues.”
On April 4, 2024, Russian forces launched a drone attack on Kharkiv, resulting in at least four fatalities, including rescue workers, and injuring 12 others. The attack involved at least 15 drones targeting several districts of the city, damaging residential buildings. Ukrainian forces managed to down 11 out of 20 drones launched overnight into April 4.
On April 6, 2024, a nighttime strike on the Shevchenkivskyi district of Kharkiv resulted in six deaths and ten injuries. The attack involved “Shahed” drones targeting residential areas and caused damage to nine high-rise buildings, three dormitories, and several other structures.
