Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister Mykhailo Fedorov said Ukraine produces thousands and even tens of thousands of drones of “certain categories” per month. He announced that on the national telethon, according to Liga.
He did not specify what particular types of drones have been mass produced.
“We cannot cover such things, we are at a different stage of development. The Russians have been investing in the UAV market for many years, while we started developing it only a year ago. Now we have a market economy, many companies are emerging, and we will be able not only to catch up but also to overtake Russia in the long run,” Fedorov said.
He noted that to increase the production of drones, Ukraine needs a market, Western support, investment, and scientific development.
“All this will increase the number of drones. While the market is exploding, we need to increase ‘energy’ by deregulating the market,” the Deputy Prime Minister concluded.
