Over 16 November, Russian military forces carried out 58 fire attacks in southern Ukraine’s Kherson Oblast, resulting in civilian casualties. The strikes included a variety of weapons and resulted in the deaths of six civilians, local authorities reported.

Oleksandr Prokudin, the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, reported that these attacks involved the use of mortars, artillery, Grads multiple rocket launchers, tanks, drones, and aircraft, totaling 347 munitions fired on the Ukrainian-held part of the region.

The city of Kherson City saw 43 shells landing within its limits. The areas hit included residential neighborhoods, administrative buildings, a medical facility, and commercial establishments in the Kherson city and district, according to Prokudin.

The human cost of these attacks was severe in Kherson Oblast, with six civilians killed and ten more individuals injured, among them a child.

An hour-long November 16 evening shelling of Kherson City claimed the lives of three women, and six other residents were wounded, including a 15-year-old, according to Prokudin’s later update.

Russia shells and bombs Kherson City and Oblast every day for months, destroying civilian infrastructure and raising civilian toll.
