On Oct. 10, as a result of Russian missile attacks on the territory of Ukraine, rolling blackouts will be applied in four Oblasts of Ukraine and Kyiv, Ukraine’s PM Denys Shmyhal reported.
A schedule of emergency blackouts has been introduced in Kyiv, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, Zhytomyr Oblasts, and the city of Kyiv.
“Dozens of rockets hit energy infrastructure facilities in 11 Oblasts and the city of Kyiv. Electricity supply was disrupted almost throughout the country. There are issues with water supply in 8 regions,” wrote Shmyhal on his Telegram channel.
According to Shmyhal, most of the energy infrastructure will be restored on October 10-11.
Ukrainians are asked to limit electricity consumption for a few days while restoration works are underway to reduce the load on Ukraine’s power system.
