The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine requested action on the security guarantees of Ukraine to preserve the country’s independence, sovereignty, and existing borders.

Two hundred and sixty three deputies voted for the appeal.“The Supreme Council of Ukraine appeals to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland as well as the United States of America as members of the International Memorandum of security guarantees in connection with Ukraine’s accession to the Nuclear Weapons Non-Proliferation Treaty, asking them to meet their obligations pursuant to its provisions,” the deputies state in the document.

The parliament called on them to “use all possible diplomatic, political, economic, and military measures for the immediate cessation of aggression and to preserve independence, sovereignty, and existing borders.”
