In case anyone thinks that Vladimir Putin is not convinced that he is going to get everything he wants from Donald Trump – an end to sanctions, deference to Russia’s claim of a sphere of influence over the former Soviet space, and much else — a Russian television broadcast last evening should convince them of that fact.

On his weekly program, Dmitry Kiselyov, the Russian host who not so long ago talked about Russia’s ability to reduce the United States to a pile of radioactive rubble, positively reviewed the Trump Administration and declared that Russia and the US have “always cooperated in difficult times.

Dmitry Kiselyov boasting about Russia's ability to turn the US "into radioactive ash" in his program on Russia's premier TV channel. He is the head of the Kremlin's RT (Russia Today) news agency, a propaganda tool to promote the Kremlin's policies, denigrate the West and speculate about Western-led conspiracies as well as attack political opposition to Putin. Given the central role of state television in Putin’s regime, such a statement was clearly intended to send two important signals to Russians: Russian-American cooperation is back now that Trump is president, and this cooperation will take the form first and foremost of a combined military effort against ISIS in the Middle East.

We are a small independent journalist team on a shoestring budget, have no political or state affiliation, and depend on our readers to keep going (using the chanсe - a big thank you to our generous supporters, we couldn't make it without you.)  If you like what you see, please help keep us online with a donation

without a question yet as mentioned above, it is a strong indicator how Kremlin wants to shape public opinion of ruSSki sheeple. They are kinda on their knees now, pretending to be standing our Kremlinals.

        Agree!

I agree that Kremlin media only says what the Kremlin wants. However that doesn’t mean that Putin thinks it will all happen that way. Maybe he does, I don’t know.

But it is clearly very important to Putin that the Russian people be told (and believe) that Trump is going to lift sanctions and form a grand alliance with Russia. The longer they believe that, the longer before they start to seriously protest about lost jobs, cut pensions, bad food, and poor healthcare.

The Kremlin no doubt also understands the importance of stroking Trump’s ego if they want to get a favourable reaction from him, and not be tweeted to death.

Trump is a severe case of a narcissistic personality disorder.

Because of that, he can be manipulated. Russians of course know it. His obsession with the inauguration crowd, with his losing the popular vote …. it was almost sad to watch him. The problem with this disorder is that he lacks any moral principles, any higher emotions such as empathy, any developed conscience. The older term for a personality disorder was psychopathy.

It is funny to watch how the US psychologists and psychiatrists have a problem restraining themselves from naming him a narcissist. Many have done it publicly although it is an ethical violation to diagnose someone without having examined him in person and without his consent. Maybe they see it as a state emergency that they are willing to break the ethics.

No need to insult the President. It does not serve Ukrainian cause well, particularly cus much of what u said is true. Ukraine supporters should not be perceived not to like Trump cus it can have serious consequences on Ukraines safety.

        1. Avatar Alex George says:

          Really? What consequences?

          1. Avatar туфтуф says:

I dnt know, but seems to me Trump takes insults too personally. No playing games with a powerful man with a big ego.

He definitely has this disorder & perhaps a few more. Asperger’s Syndrome comes to mind. He has the vocabulary & mentality of a 10 yr old bully and has great difficulty stringing a coherent sentence together.

    2. Avatar Czech Mate says:

and why would that be, Alex? It’s clear Putleristan is on the ropes and dwarf playing with poker face until the bitter end. He is weaker by the day therefore desperately pretending to be equal to the US. Once he gets that from the Trumpstablishment, he will be safe for a while.

      1. Avatar Alex George says:

I think you answered your own question right on the money .

A lot of smoke-and-mirrors with the Kremlin.

        1. Avatar Czech Mate says:

the thing is, it’s getting childishly obvious with the Kremlinals, their lies are catching up with their broke selves pretty fast

      1. Avatar туфтуф says:

Not only avdeevka. The whole front is on fire, and Novorossiya fighters are using all weapons on their disposal. There are Russian regular troops deeper in the background. This is bad (or good, depending whom one supports). Serious is the most neutral word. Read this thru translate:

The Russians have 35k mercenaries and about 9k federation troops.
Ukraine has 75k heavily entrenched troops.
Russia has not gained any ground since Debal’tseve and infact has lost ground in several areas.

          2. Avatar туфтуф says:

I agree. Today a Russian news outlet first time ever admitted Russian army is involved. Ukraine is dead. Unfortunately.

          3. Avatar Alex George says:

LOL There have been plenty of admissions before this. You can;t even keep up with the news

        2. Avatar Murf says:

Good Ukraine can throw 250k troops in to the fight. There estimated to be only 35k Russians in Donbas.
Russia can’t bring their full force to bare for weeks until they redeploy more men.
Time for Ukraine to achieve a decisive result and then renegotiate Minsk 3.

          1. Avatar туфтуф says:

In two days over 180 ukros have been wasted. Local morgues filled with bodies, so the new 200’s are being taken deeper into what my friends from the other side call the “occupied Ukraine”. Fresh news from the front. No newspapers, no msm. Raw intel from the trenches. The papers, on the other hand, claim that Poroshenko will raise the matter with the un security council tomorrow. And we know who dominates there: Russia (of whom l heard from RUSSIAN sources that she is directly involved in the conflict) and China who always abstains from voting against Russia. Ukraine is being destroyed, unfortunately.

          2. Avatar laker48 says:

            Right! Time’s working for Ukraine.

        3. Avatar Alex George says:

It certainly is serious – over 60 dead Russian boys in Donetsk morgue shows what is happening. The Russian regulars are being used as cannon fodder in the front-line.

Igor Strelkov complaining on social media that the separatist soldiers won’t fight.

“The whole front is on fire”

Except it isn’t. There is intense fighting around Avdiika. The rest of the front is pretty much as normal – Russians firing illegal artillery in an attempt to kill Ukrainian soldiers and civilians. Just what they have been doing for the last two years.

Still at your usual standard of general ignorance I see. ;o)

      2. Avatar laker48 says:

News from the “enemy”: an influential Russian intelligence outlet CONFIRMS the presence of the Russian army in Donbass. I will try to translate the parafraph from memory, at the same time including the link. “After the innitial heavy lisses, Ukrainian chief of staff is not keen to fight head on the Novorossiya veterans deep into the front, or even the RUSSIAN army, depending how deep into the front they go. Ukrainian General chief of staff are not madmen.”

    http://guardia-ru.livejournal.com/746972.html

    1. Avatar Alex George says:

This “news” is two years old. Showing your ignorance again?

Russian army is on the front-line in Donbas as the separatists won’t fight. Strelkov/Girkin is complaining that they are abandoning their units in droves.

      1. Avatar туфтуф says:

First time ever Russia admitted its taking an active part with its regular army units. To me it sounds pretty bad. Means ruskie openy upping the stakes.

        1. Avatar Alex George says:

Err no, a blog post isn’t Russia admitting anything, and everyone already knows Russia troops are there .Whether Russia admits anything or not is irrelevant.

If Russia wants to up the stakes, it will need a better army.

          1. Avatar туфтуф says:

The trouble is their numbers are growing as we write. Bad.

Trump will never betray Ukraine. He just will avert a nuclear war which Hillary wanted to cause. It will be a war limeted on Ukrainian and Polish territories. No reason for fear.

    1. Avatar Alex George says:

There is no possibility of nuclear war, much as you wish for one. ;o)

      1. Avatar туфтуф says:

No, there will never be. Russia uses the THREAT of nuclear war. And it works.

        1. Avatar Alex George says:

          Really?

When has Russia threatened nuclear war? And when has it “worked”?

          1. Avatar туфтуф says:

Possessing a nuclear deterrent is enough.

          2. Avatar Alex George says:

So in other words, you can’t think of anytime he threatened it.

Nor any time that it “worked” ie actually achieved anything,.

Nukes rarely make any difference at all.

          3. Avatar туфтуф says:

            No
