Germany sent more arms to Ukraine, US President called emergency aid to Ukraine a smart investment in US security. Ukrainian defenders repelled Russian attacks on Avdiyivka.

As winter approaches, Ukraine's allies have reiterated their commitment to providing military and humanitarian aid. This comes as Russia steps up attacks on civilian infrastructure, trying to freeze Ukrainians into submission.

Russia launched widespread missile strikes across Ukraine on Thursday, damaging civilian infrastructure. Meanwhile, Ukrainian forces continued limited advances around Bakhmut and Kreminna.

President Zelenskyy confirmed Ukraine has received long-range ATACMS missiles from the US. Russia admitted forcibly transferring nearly 5 million Ukrainians, including 700,000 children, to Russia.

“Army of drones” project’s UAVs have struck over 400 pieces of Russian equipment in the past week alone, Ukraine's digital minister reported. Ukrainian successful drone attacks coincide with Russia's finance minister acknowledging its military is now overwhelmingly using Chinese-supplied drones against Ukraine.

As winter approaches, Western allies are providing air defense systems to Ukraine through leasing agreements to help protect against Russian aerial attacks. The strikes on Kherson came amid intense fighting along multiple frontlines in the east and south, with over 60 battles reported in the past day according to Ukraine's military.

Russia faces setbacks near Avdiivka, starts a new offensive in the Lyman-Kupiansk sector where Ukraine is well-prepared for defense. The UK believes Russia may launch strikes on Ukraine from the Black Sea. The EU urged China to back Ukraine's peace formula and stop supporting Russia. The US remains committed to supporting Ukraine against Russian aggression.

North Korea has secretly sent more than 1,000 ammunition containers to Russia in support of its invasion of Ukraine, Ukraine’s Armed Forces shot down a Russian SU-25 fighter jet and an Orlan-10 reconnaissance drone.

Russia's biggest offensive on Avdiivka since 2014 was repelled by Ukrainian forces, resulting in the loss of over 100 Russian vehicles to ambushes and mines. The assault involved 2,000 Russian troops, tanks and intense bombardments. Meanwhile in Brussels, Ukrainian President Zelenskyy met with NATO defense ministers and received pledges for more military and financial assistance.

The US will spearhead training for Ukrainian pilots on F-16 jets. Finland and other Ukrainian allies have bolstered military aid. Meanwhile, Russia suffered heavy losses in the Avdiyivka offensive and kept striking Ukrainian civilians.

In addition to military aid from Western allies, Ukraine will spend over 20% of its 2024 GDP on defense.

Russia intends to falsely accuse Ukraine of selling Western weapons to Hamas, according to Ukrainian intelligence. Meanwhile, Ukrainian troops have repelled dozens of Russian attacks and are pushing toward a key Russian stronghold in the south. Russia has also stepped up strikes across Ukraine, carrying out over 300 just this past week.

Two Ukrainian citizens have died in Israel over the Hamas attack, as the Russian military shelled the village of Kindiyka in the Kherson Oblast, injuring a child who is currently in a coma.

President Zelenskyy offered condolences and backed Israel's right to self-defense against terrorism, as a Nobel Peace Prize laureate called out Western reluctance to provide Kyiv sufficient weapons as stemming from "fear, not Ukraine fatigue."
