January 20 – No Ukrainian military have died in the ATO area in the last 24 hours, – informed NSDC spokesman Andriy Lysenko.

January 20 – Led by Russian army professional, Russian terrorists are being transferred from Luhansk oblast closer to Donetsk. Amid the aggravation in the conflict area in the Donbas, Russian military leaders are trying to organize cooperation between terrorist organizations of so called Peoples Republics of Donetsk and Luhansk. Also in Luhansk the militants are being replaced with proper Russian servicemen.

January 20 – Approximately 800 Russian servicemen have entered Ukraine on Monday, January 19th – they all are a part of two battalion task forces, – informed NSDC spokesman Andriy Lysenko.

January 20 – Five Russians were arrested on suspicion of terrorist attack in French city of Beziers. All of them are of Chechen origin.

January 20 – Achieving real results, not the fact that the meeting was held, is of interest to Ukraine when it comes down to the meeting of Heads of States, held in "Normandy format" (Ukraine, Russia, Germany, France), – said the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin. Thus, the meeting in Astana hasn't taken place – Russia's approach is contentious. Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine is ready for the next meeting of foreign ministers in the "Normandy format" in Berlin, and hopes that it will be held on January 21st.

January 20 – Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine emphasizes that the scheduled trilateral meeting of the contact group in Minsk was disrupted by the representatives of the so-called People's Republics of Donetsk and Luhansk, – stated the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin (as a result of Putin's orders, no doubt).

January 20 – Ukraine plans to bring a case against Russia before international courts on violation of the Convention on the Financing of Terrorism, – said the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin.

January 20 – A bridge was blown up under a freight train in Zaporizhia oblast. The train was destined for Volnovakha. 10 out of 30 cars fell off the rails. According to preliminary data, there have been no victims.

January 20 – Experts have placed Ukraine on the 21st step in the world rating of the most strong armies among 106 countries. This is provided by Global Firepower rating. In compiling the rating, experts took into account 50 elements. In this rating Russia holds a 2nd place, immediately behind U.S. Army which holds the 1st place. in the 3rd place is China, followed by India, Great Britain, France, Germany, Turkey, and South Korea. Ukraine is placed between Australia (20th place) and Iran (22nd place). As the experts of Global Firepower noted, the Ukrainian army still bears the marks of the soviet era, although in a modernized version.

The West – both the EU and the US – do not fully understand how significant the possibility of a default really is – emphasized the financier.

January 16 – An attack on Donetsk airport begat at 8 am. The fighting continued throughout the day; the militants used tear-gas. The situation is fairly complicated, but overall under control. Ukrainian military are well supported by protective fire. If it weren't for protective fire, the terrorists would have gained an upper hand long ago. Those who are currently defending the site of Donetsk airport are able to carry out their duty as a result of such powerful protective fire. Airport is a site of most fierce opposition. According to journalist Andriy Tsaplienko, Ukrainian military blew up Russian mercenaries (Chechens and also Kadyrov supporters) who made their way into the basement of the airport a few days ago.

January 16 -Russian terrorist fighters in the ATO zone are continuing to assemble heavy army supplies – RNBO spokesperson Andriy Lysenko: "During the last few days we are observing the assemblance of for fighters close to the demarcation of the border. Especially in the city there is a whole row of tanks that have stretched out over approximately 3 kilometers and moved in the direction of the positions of the Ukrainian sub-units," reported Lysenko.

January 16 – U.S. Ambassadaor Jeffrey Payett stated that the attacks of the fighters on the Donetsk Airport is a violation of the Minsk agreement.

January 16 – In the city of Kurakhiv in the Donetsk region, Security Forces detained a fighter of the diverse group, the so-called " DNR". Among the many crimes committed by the terrorist whose surname is "Tserber", is the murder of two peaceful citizens. January 16 – Turkey is interested that Ukraine remains the transitioner of the Russian gas to the European Union. This was stated in Brussells by the Prime miister of Turkey, Akhmet Davutohlu in commenting on Russian plans to transport the gas through the territory of Turkey into Europe. In 2014, the transporting of Russian gas through Ukraine's territory, compared to the previous year, decreased by 28%. Davutohlu also noted that Turkey has good relations and a high level of cooperation with Ukraine as welll aswith Russia. However, the relations with Kyiv are solely based on the principles of the territorial integrity of the country.

The director of NAK "Gas of Ukraine" Andriy Koboliev called the statement of Hazprom regarding the "Turkish Stream" a political bluff. Statements by Hazprom that the company is ready to curtail the relationship which has existed for many years with the EU, lack any economic sense at all and are a political bluff," stated Koboliev. The enterprise stated that Naftogaz is adhering to all agreements made in Brussells which are geared towards preserving the stability of the delivery of Russian gas to the countries of EU.

March 4 – EU High Representative for Foreign and Security Policy Federica Mogherini has urged Russian authorities to release Nadiya Savchenko, Oleg Sentsov and other illegally detained Ukrainian citizens. But does this European lady that she is dealing with a dedicated follower of Lavrentiy Beria... sad, isn't it?...

March 4 – In the estimation of American soldiers, Russia supports the seperatists in Eastern Ukraine by about 12,000 soldiers. This was stated by the Commander of U.S. Ground Forces in Europe, General-Lieutenant Ben Hodges in Berlin on March 3rd in the evening, informed DW with bck-up from Reuters. This refers Russian army instructors, technicians who man current weaponryand direct fighter units. According to him,n addition to the named numbers one should also include almost 29,000 soldiers who are dislocated in Crimea. Until the annexation on the peninsula, in accordance with the agreement between Russia and Ukraine, there could be up to 25,000 servicemen, reminds the agency. Also approximately 50,000 soldiers, according to Hodges, are on Russian territory with a direct proximity to the Ukrainian border – in case the separatists suffer serious defeat, as it was at the end of 2014.

The US Army is preparing to send approximately 300 troops at a time to train Ukrainian forces in western Ukraine, according to documents posted on a government contracting site.
