Canada has delivered a new batch of LAV (Light Armoured Vehicles) to Ukraine, specifically ambulance variants, the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) Operation UNIFIER announced. While the exact number of vehicles wasn’t disclosed, the delivery follows comprehensive training of Ukrainian personnel in Germany.
The delivery is part of Canada’s ongoing military aid to Ukraine, which has totaled nearly $4.5 billion since 2022.
“Following the operator and maintenance training on the ACSV, ambulance variant, in Germany, the vehicles were loaded up and sent to Ukraine. These vehicles will help Ukraine in their ongoing defence of an unlawful invasion to their land,” the CAF mission stated on X.

This delivery is part of Canada’s extensive military assistance to Ukraine, which has exceeded $4.5 billion since 2022. Recent support announced earlier this year also included 80,840 CRV-7 rocket motors and 1,300 warheads, machine guns and pistols, chassis from M113s and more.
Canada recently signed a fourth supplementary agreement with Ukraine for an additional credit of 400 million Canadian dollars (approximately $300 million USD). The country has also taken a leadership role in fighter pilot training, committing $389 million over five years for F-16 pilot training programs.
Notably, Canada has explicitly permitted Ukraine to use Canadian-supplied military equipment, including tanks and armored vehicles, within Russian territory. “Ukrainians know best how to defend their homeland, and we aim to support their capability,” stated André-Anne Poulin, a spokesperson for the Canadian Ministry of Defense, adding that “Canada has no geographical restrictions on the use of military equipment we transfer to Ukraine.”
