The positions of the Russian troops are already so close to Chasiv Yar in the Donetsk region that they may soon capture it, the analysts of the Deep State project believe. According to their data, the Russians have captured several small houses on the eastern outskirts of Chasiv Yar. They also attempted to storm the high-rise buildings, but so far unsuccessfully.
“With the enemy having captured positions on the outskirts, the likelihood of imminent street-to-street fighting in Chasiv Yar is high,” they warned on Telegram.
Additionally, the analysts emphasize, the Ukrainian military may lose the village of Robotyne in Zaporizhzhia Oblast. Robotyne is one of the few territorial gains of the Ukrainian counteroffensive in 2023.
The analysts write that the Russians have captured a school in Robotyne, but the Ukrainians have driven them out. However, the Russians continue their assault and are trying to consolidate their positions in the southern part of the village.
“If the issues of misinformation and coordination in Robotyne are not addressed, the enemy will likely recapture the village. Additionally, the construction of robust defensive fortifications remains a critical and pressing concern,” the analysts cautioned.
Overall, according to the Deep State project’s estimates, the Russians’ resources in manpower, an advantage in artillery, and the availability of excess equipment allow them to put pressure on several fronts simultaneously.
