Ex-Ukrainian security chief Oleksiy Danilov named ambassador to Moldova

Moldova, with minimal military and hosting the Russian-backed breakaway Transnistria, is a key European region at risk of Russian aggression.

Former Ukrainian National Security Chief Oleksiy Danilov will become Ukrainian ambassador to Moldova, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced. Moldova, lacking a sizable military and harboring the Russian-backed breakaway region of Transnistria, is a strategically crucial area for Ukraine and Europe, potentially susceptible to Russian aggression. https://twitter.com/i/status/1773784378537050443
"Oleksiy Danilov will continue his work in the diplomatic field. Specifically, I have approved his candidacy as our state's new ambassador to the Republic of Moldova. He expressed to me that this is how he envisions his future work for Ukraine," said Zelenskyy in his daily address. 
On 26 March, Ukrainian President Volodymyr relieved Oleksiy Danilov of his duties as the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) of Ukraine.
In a subsequent appointment, President Zelenskyy has named Oleksandr Lytvynenko as Danilov’s successor. Lytvynenko, 51, previously served as NSDC Deputy Secretary, headed the National Institute for Strategic Studies, and led Ukraine's Foreign Intelligence Service from 2021 until this new role. Oleksiy Danilov, between 1994 and 1997, served as the mayor of the currently occupied by Russia city of Luhansk, and from 2005 to 2006, he held the position of head of the Luhansk Regional State Administration.
