Russia amassing troops near Mariupol

Russia continues to amass tanks, fighters, and regular troops near Mariupol, the State Border Guard Service informed UNIAN, September 10, the news agency reports.

“The Russian Federation is continuing to concentrate armored vehicles, fighters, and regular army troops in the Novoazovsk district of the Donetsk Oblast,” the service’s statement says.

“In particular, near the town of Sakhanka, in the Novoazovsk district in the Donetsk Oblast, 50 heavy military vehicles have been detected (tanks, infantry fighting vehicles, armored personnel carriers, trucks) the service adds.

Additionally, 2 tanks, 3 self-propelled howitzers  and 8 “Ural” military trucks with staff have arrived in Novoazovsk from the Russian Federation. In the district of Bezimenne, in the Novoazovsk district, a large concentration of enemy equipment and troops, including communications intelligence equipment, has been detected, the service reports.

As previously reported, on August 28, Russian army troops captured the city of Novoazovsk in the Donetsk Oblast, which is located near Mariupol.
