Commander: Russia does not stop assaults along the entire frontline in east

Commander: Russia does not stop assaults along the entire frontline in east

On 10 December, the Commander of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, described the situation at the frontline in eastern Ukraine as “complicated.”

“The operational situation in the east remains complicated. The enemy does not stop conducting offensive actions along the entire frontline,” Syrskyi said in a message published on Telegram channel.

The general said that the commanders of the eastern front sectors “analyzed the situation in detail and considered options for further action.”

“We jointly made the necessary decisions and took measures to ensure the stability of our defense, save the lives of our soldiers and rationally use ammunition,” the statement said.

General Syrskyi did not specify what measures are to be taken.

Russia has continued assaults on the area of Avdiivka City next to Donetsk for two months. Secondary axes of the offensive are Kupiansk, Kharkiv Oblast, and various locations in Donetsk Oblast, such as Mariinka and Vuhledar.
