Ukraine’s military estimates its strikes on Russian military infrastructure have resulted in about $25.5 billion in combined direct and indirect losses for Moscow, according to Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi.
Syrskyi said Ukrainian forces are continuing to carry out strikes against key elements of Russia’s military-industrial base and infrastructure, while also adapting tactics to offset Russia’s numerical advantage on the battlefield.
Drone losses outpace Russian mobilization for four straight months
According to him, Ukraine is using what he described as “quality-based” approaches to warfare, forcing Russian units into less favorable conditions and repeatedly delaying planned offensives.
Syrskyi also said Ukrainian drone units have been inflicting higher losses on Russian personnel over the past four months than Russia has been able to replenish through mobilization during the same period.
NATO and EU Military Committee chairs visit Kyiv simultaneously
He made the statement after meeting senior military representatives from NATO and the European Union in Kyiv, including NATO Military Committee Chair Admiral Giuseppe Cavo Dragone and EU Military Committee Chair General Sean Clancy.
He told the visiting NATO and EU officials that Russia continues offensive operations despite significant losses in manpower, weapons, and equipment. He stressed that air defense remains Ukraine’s top priority due to ongoing missile and drone attacks.
$25.5 billion figure covers direct destruction and broader economic damage
The commander said the estimated $25.5 billion figure reflects both direct destruction of Russian military assets and broader economic damage linked to strikes on infrastructure supporting the war effort.
He did not specify a time frame for the figure.
EU training mission has prepared over 90,000 Ukrainian troops
During the meeting, Syrskyi also highlighted the European Union’s training mission, which has prepared more than 90,000 Ukrainian troops, and called for continued expansion of training programs involving foreign instructors.
Syrskyi described the simultaneous visit of senior NATO and EU military officials as symbolic, saying it reflects consolidated international support for Ukraine’s defense effort as the war continues.
