Russia launched 141 strike drones against Ukraine during the night of 5–6 April, Ukraine's Air Force reported. The deadliest impact was in Odesa. A drone struck a residential area of the city, killing a 30-year-old woman, her two-and-a-half-year-old daughter, and a 53-year-old woman, the head of Odesa Oblast Military Administration, Oleh Kiper, reported.
Fifteen people were wounded, 13 hospitalized. Among them are a pregnant woman, a 7-month-old boy, and a 2-year-old girl.
Two patients were in serious condition by morning: one in neurosurgery, another in a burn intensive care unit. Eight more were in moderate condition, including a 2-year-old child and teenagers aged 17 and 18.
Aftermath of Russian strike on Odesa
Damage in the city spread across two districts, the head of Odesa city military administration, Serhii Lysak, said. In Prymorskyy district, a residential apartment complex and seven private homes were hit.

In Kyivskyi district, an apartment building, five private homes, a shop, and a private kindergarten were damaged, along with 27 parked cars.
Utility crews worked to seal broken windows with sheeting and boards; city officials opened compensation applications under the national eVidnovlennia recovery program.
Impact on other regions
In Chernihiv Oblast, a Russian strike hit an energy facility in the Novhorod-Siverskyi region, knocking out power to more than 10,000 consumers, the regional electricity operator reported. The attack came at 22:46. Repair crews said restoration work would begin as soon as the security situation allowed.
The overnight barrage extended an established pattern. Russia has routinely launched mass drone attacks on civilian infrastructure and residential neighborhoods, particularly at night, when air raid alerts offer little time to seek shelter before impact.
