The Kremlin pressures the West to abandon security guarantees for Ukraine. French President Macron continues to spread "bullshit" nonsense about deploying troops in Ukraine after the end of hostilities, former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev says.
If such plans were implemented, he threatens that Russia will respond with the "Oreshnik" missile strike on NATO forces in Ukraine.
Medvedev, who is often called the Kremlin's mouthpiece, claims the latest Russian strike on Lviv Oblast, bordering Poland, is an example of future attacks that reportedly await foreign non-combat monitoring missions in Ukraine.
"Russia won't accept any European or NATO troops in Ukraine"
On his X social media page, Medvedev posted a video of the "Oreshnik" ballistic missile strike on Lviv Oblast, in response to the proposition.
"It’s been said a thousand times: Russia won’t accept any European or NATO troops in Ukraine, but no, Micron keeps peddling this pathetic bullshit. Well, come on then. This is what you’ll get," he said.
Earlier, Colonel Markus Reisner, head of the Officer Training Institute at the Theresian Military Academy, said that without US security commitments, the deployment of European units in Ukraine is unlikely.
Europe does not possess thousands of ballistic or cruise missiles or tens of thousands of strike drones that could serve as an independent deterrent against Russia.
