"There is a gradual, slow, but steady advance of the enemy along the entire eastern front. Moreover, they are likely preparing for some serious offensive actions on the Zaporizhzhia front. They have concentrated a significant amount of manpower and equipment close to Huliaypole toward Orikhiv. Therefore, we can expect attempts at offensive actions in this direction," explained Hetman. In the northern front, says Hetman, the Russians are trying to reach the Oskol River and attempting to cross it. Additionally, the expert explained how worsening weather conditions would affect offensive operations.
"It is likely to slow down the Russians' ability to advance but not significantly. It will hinder them, but one shouldn’t rely too much on it. However, it is also not easy to hold the defense if you are standing in a trench filled with water," the expert noted.Earlier, military analyst Ivan Stupak stated that there is a risk of a Russian offensive in Zaporizhzhia Oblast, and therefore, Ukraine must consider the worst-case scenarios, RBC reported. According to him, the Ukrainian Defense Forces located on the Zaporizhzhia front have been expecting that "something should begin" for several months. Related:
