UPD. According to Oleg Syniegubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, the number of injured has increased to 30. The victims, a 69-year-old woman, and a 73-year-old man were out for a walk by the lake at the time of the Russian strike.

Two elderly civilians died in a Russian airstrike on Kharkiv's Saltivskyi district, the area closest to the Russian border. Seven others were injured, reported Oleh Syniehubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration.

Located just 30 kilometers from Russia, Kharkiv faces daily bombardment with low-precision guided bombs. This highlights the ongoing threat to civilian areas in Ukraine and the critical need for enhanced air defense capabilities, especially in border regions.
