In Kursk Oblast, Ukrainian Territorial Defense Forces have repelled a Russian assault by using a seized Russian defense line, according to combat footage shared by the PS01.

The video shows the Ukrainian 129th Territorial Defense Brigade occupied fortified positions built by the occupiers on the Ukrainian-Russian border to counter Russia’s advance.

A Russian mechanized assault group, including a tank equipped with a mine-clearing plow, was neutralized before reaching its target in artillery strikes and drone attacks. The location of the destroyed Russian equipment was geolocated 1.5 kilometers east of the village of Plekhovo in Kursk Oblast, near a former Russian stronghold.

The 128th Brigade of Ukrainian Territorial Defense reportedly used its main forces in the area, which were well-fortified and designed for circular defense.

The Russian column approached within three kilometers and under artillery fire but encountered an anti-tank trench and concrete block barriers, where it was ultimately destroyed.

Additionally, the advance of the hastily assembled assault group was hampered by barbed wire obstacles located about a kilometer from the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ main positions.

Another stronghold can be seen north of the battle area, though it remains unclear if it was held by Ukrainian troops.

Earlier, Militarnyi reported about the extensive fortification complexes built by Russian forces in the border area of Kursk Oblast. Notably, a stronghold of the 488th Motorized Rifle Regiment of the Russian Armed Forces featured bunkers and facilities connected by an extensive network of underground communications.
