"In Bakhmut, our defenders have been keeping the enemy's entrances, exits, and movements in the city under fire control for several days," Hanna Maliar said. "This became possible because our troops took control of the main dominant heights around Bakhmut," Maliar added.The Ukrainian forces advanced deeper into the Russian-controlled areas on the southern front, which covers the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson oblasts and the southwestern part of the Donetsk Oblast. Russian forces make attempts to counterattack and regain the lost ground.
"In total, 4,318 enemy attacks were recorded in the Tauride sector [southern front] over the past week," Maliar said.Within the last week, Ukrainian troops liberated 10,2 square kilometers on the southern front and conducted more than 79 strikes on the areas of concentration of Russian personnel.
