Ukraine imposes sanctions against Patriarch Kirill and 7 representatives of Russian Orthodox Church

On 30 August, The Ukrainian government adopted restrictions against representatives of the Russian Orthodox Church for 10 years due to their support of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

The list of representatives of the Russian Orthodox Church sanctioned by Ukraine should be soon considered by the National Security and Defense Council and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. If they agree with it, Ukraine will turn to the international community to introduce the same sanctions in other countries.
