Figure skaters deprived of Lithuanian state awards for participation in Russian show
The President of Lithuania Gitanas Nauseda deprived Lithuanian figure skaters Margarita Drobyazko and Povilas Vanagas of state awards for their participation in the show of Dmitry Peskov’s wife.

“I have no doubt that a couple of dancers were excellent athletes, but the services to Lithuanian state were crossed out by cynical participation in a commercial event in Sochi at a time when the blood of innocent people is being shed in the maelstrom of Ukrainian war,” Gitanas Nauseda wrote on Facebook.
