Hodges also commented that Russia may attempt to to destabilize one of the members of NATO by the use of partisans or other forms of ‘hybrid war’. He also urged that American tanks be placed in countries along the eastern wing of NATO, in terms of stopping that factor for Putin. Specifically, according to Hodges, he proposed to place tanks in Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Rumania, and Bulgaria.
