Translation of comments by journalist Taras Shumeyko, who has been covering developments in the Donbas. Translation by William Risch:

“The latest from Luhans’k. People are outraged by the seizure of buildings. Yesterday, in Artemivs’k, the flag of the People’s Republic of Donets’k (DNP) was waving over the town council. A woman came up who introduced herself in Ukrainian – a history teacher. She almost started crying – criminals are doing anything they want in town, with the silent approval of the authorities and the police. She said that she’s coming at night to tear down that flag. Then teenagers showed up with blue-and-yellow ribbons. They said that they and all their friends and acquaintances in town are for Ukraine. But the drunkards are very aggressive, so it’s dangerous to express your outrage around them or argue with them. They wait with trepidation over what’s coming next.”
