German Chancellor Angela Merkel has been trying to call Yanukovych in view of the events taking place in Kyiv but the Ukrainian head of state is not answering his phone, a reliable source informs LB.ua after a meeting with ambassadors. The President has not reacted to what is happening in the center of Kyiv all day.
At least 9 people are dead. The president has appointed a meeting with the opposition tomorrow morning through his representative in the Parliament and the speaker Volodymyr Rybak. Berkut riot police is storming the Maidan right now.
