In a statement signed by 17 Ukrainian diplomats (to date), Ukrainian diplomats expressed their support for Maidan activists.

“We, Ukrainian diplomats, upholding the initiative “Do not be afraid! You are Ukrainian!” that commenced on February 3, 2014, guided by our dignity, honor and social position, express our solidarity with all those who stand at Maidans across the country fighting for a better future for Ukraine,” said the statement.

“We support the peaceful resolution of the current crisis, effective negotiations, raising societal awareness through truthful information and we condemn violence and persecution,” said the letter.

“We are convinced that Ukraine chose the right strategic course towards European integration, guided by universal human and democratic values ​​in our society and the state,” the statement continued.

“We want to be sincerely proud of our motherland while representing it abroad,” stated the diplomats.
