The pro-Ukrainian partisan group ATESH said it carried out sabotage at a key Russian railway hub near Rostov-on-Don, disrupting military supply routes to occupied Ukrainian territories.
ATESH partisans conduct sabotage and intelligence operations inside Russia. The group targets military logistics, equipment, and troop movements, aiming to disrupt Russian supply chains and slow operations on the frontlines.
The movement said its agents set fire to relay cabinets at the Bataysk railway junction, which it described as a major logistics hub used to supply Russian forces on southern fronts.
According to the group’s statement, military trains carrying personnel, armored vehicles, fuel, and ammunition pass through the junction en route to Russian units operating in the Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, and Donetsk regions, as well as Crimea.
ATESH claimed the sabotage caused cascading delays and disruptions to military shipments, leaving cargo stalled in transit and complicating Russian operational planning.
The group said it will continue targeting vulnerable points in Russian military logistics, following a previous operation in November when it destroyed a locomotive carrying military cargo in Rostov-on-Don.
